Acorn Hill has approximately 60 students in our school year programs.

Our classes have up to 14 students in each Nursery, and up to 16 students in each Mixed Age Kindergarten.

Acorn Hill Waldorf Kindergarten & Nursery follow all state and local requirements for student registration and immunization, including reporting vaccination status to the state, opening student records to health department review, and excluding students from school if they do not comply with requirements or if there is an outbreak of a vaccine-preventable disease against which they are not immunized.

The Maryland Health Department requires that all enrolled children must meet minimum vaccination requirements for Diphtheria, Tetanus, and Pertussis (DTaP), Haemophilus Influenzae Type b (Hib), Hepatitis B, Measles, Mumps, & Rubella (MMR), Pneumococcal (PCV), Polio, and Varicella (Chickenpox), as outlined on this form. Parents are required to provide the immunization form along with a health inventory prior to a child attending a school. The Maryland Health Department allows medical contraindication and religious objections to vaccination.

Our Lead Teachers have a bachelor degree or higher and Waldorf Early Childhood Education training, or are currently in training. Waldorf training is a specialized 3 year part-time program that provides the foundation of pedagogical teaching.
