Parent-Child Program

(The Transition Class between Parenting and Independent Classes)

The Parent-Child course, meeting over an entire year, offers a course of training for child and parent alike:

• Provides parents and caregivers with practical guidance and training in simple domestic activities, during class times, which can be adapted for home.
• Provides a welcoming and nurturing place for children to practice being in a school environment, with parent still present as security.
• Extends parents’ largely non-verbal classroom practice with adult meetings featuring presentations, readings, discussion and hands-on experience.

Toilet training is not required.

Half Day Programs

Three Day Nursery: 2 1/2 to 3 1/4 by Sept 1

M-W 9:00-12:00 Sept-June

Toilet training not required. A special first school experience for children. Small class size of 8 children with 2 teachers. Gentle, simple activities perfect for the very young. Creative indoor play, singing, puppetry, plenty of time outdoors. Tuition is the same as the Three Day Class for older children (3 1/4 – 4 1/4).

Three Day Class: 3 1/4 to 4 1/4 years by Sept 1

M-W 9:00-12:00 Sept-June

Often a young child’s first classroom, the teachers, the soft environment and the rhythm of age appropriate activities provide a sense of security and fun for your child. Must be toilet trained.

Five Day Class: 3 1/2 to 6 years by Sept 1

M-F 9:00-12:00 Sept-June

Our mixed age kindergarten provides a means for healthy play and learning among the children. Through our teachers, curriculum, classroom materials and daily activities, essential foundations and skills are cultivated.

Full-Day Programs

As an extension of our half day 3 and 5-day programs, the full day afternoon begins with a group lunch, followed by a nap or rest period. To balance and compliment the morning, the program is designed to provide a home-like atmosphere for a smaller group with more intimate activities.

Three Day Full-Day Program: 3 1/4 to 4 1/4 years by Sept 1

M-W 9:00-3:00 Sept-Jun

Five Day Full-Day Program: 3 1/2 to 6 years by Sept 1

M-F 9:00-3:00 Sept-Jun

Extended Day Options

Early Birds: 3 1/4 and older

M – F 8:00 – 9:00

Lunch: 3 1/4 and older

M – F 12:00 – 1:00 (lunch is included in Full Day)

Aftercare: 3 1/4 and older

M – F 3:00 – 6:00 (M -W for Three Day Class)
