Emergency Closures/Late Openings
Acorn Hill routinely follows Montgomery County Public School emergency closings in 2 situations only: inclement weather (primarily snow day) closures and inclement weather (primarily snow day) late openings. In all other cases we make an independent decision and place information on our telephone voice mail answer message. Please look at the chart below to see what Acorn Hill does when county schools have emergency closings. Some examples of emergency closures are:
- Inclement Weather: hazardous snow and ice conditions (snow days)
- All other inclement weather related conditions (hurricane, tornado, severe thunderstorms, etc.)
- Electrical power failures
- Water failures
