Adult Education Evening: Gender Diversity in Early Childhood

More than ever before, we understand that gender is a complex integration of biology, development, socialization, culture and context.  Children may begin to identify and explore their gender identity as early as their toddler years. In this online workshop, we will define many of the terms that are used to describe gender diversity, examine contemporary statistics and scientific findings about gender, look at a timeline for early gender concept development, and discuss ways to provide a supportive and anti-bias environment for all children. This event is open to the public. We will send a link to Zoom to participants before the event.
