Health Screening Questions
Acorn Hill performs daily COVID-related temperature and health screenings for all faculty, staff and children. A child’s temperature must be below 100.4°, and the answer to all questions must be “No” in order for the child to be admitted to class:
- Temperature check: A child’s temperature will be taken by the parent upon arrival. Parents bring their own thermometers from home.
- Question 1: Does the child have any of the following symptoms: cough, shortness of breath, difficulty breathing, new loss of taste or smell, fever of 100.4° or higher, chills or shaking chills, muscle aches, headache, sore throat, nausea or vomiting, diarrhea, fatigue, congestion, or runny nose?
- Question 2: Is the child waiting for a COVID-19 test result, diagnosed with COVID-19, or instructed by any health care provider or the health department to isolate or quarantine?
- Question 3: In the last 14 days, has the child had close contact (within 6 feet for at least 15 minutes) with anyone diagnosed with COVID-19 or suspected to have COVID-19?
If the answer is “Yes” to any of the above, please keep your child home. Thank you for your cooperation in making this school year a safe and healthy experience for everyone.
