Office Manager

We are seeking a detailed oriented, highly organized individual as our Office Manager. This is a year-round position with full benefits. Work hours from 8am to 4pm. 

The Office Manager ensures that the office operates efficiently and smoothly and the building and grounds are at their best. They manage office supplies and provide clerical support to the Executive Director and Administrator including answering the phones during school hours. They are often the first voice or face encountered when someone calls or enters the school. They provide excellent customer service, effective communication, are dependable, and maintain confidentiality in all situations. They perform duties and responsibilities with a high level of accuracy and flexibility. 

Early Childhood Outdoor Substitute Teacher

We are looking for dynamic, creative, and dedicated early childhood substitute teachers to join our school for all of our early childhood programs—nursery and kindergarten classes—for children 3 to 6 years old. Experience working with children is required, and a love for the outdoors a must. Experience with Waldorf education is a plus. Different subbing opportunities for full day and half day, Monday through Friday.

Acorn Hill Waldorf Kindergarten and Nursery is a well-established, 57-year-old school dedicated to early childhood education located in Silver Spring, Maryland just outside of Washington, DC. We are a Waldorf school and a member of the Waldorf Early Childhood Association of North America (WECAN). We are nestled in a secluded wooded area on a six-acre site.
